2024_06 RGECAF Newsletter (FINAL)

We are delighted to say this is our  final of our ‘fundraising news’. We will continue to produce newsletters until the rollout is complete which is three years after the last country started. Just less frequently. Rotarians, please share proudly with friends and family. This is a huge achievement for every Rotarian in the Pacific and across New Zealand and Australia. Rotary’s role in this project is to fundraise US$3.9 million. With our final Global grant application submitted this month we are almost there. It is exciting to see our vaccines finally being delivered. Check out our Director’s Report for a country breakdown. Click here to read.

2022 saw real momentum for Rotary Give Every Child A Future as we emerged from COVID-19, both for Rotary’s fund-raising and UNICEF’s implementation. Events beyond our control meant we could not produce a June newsletter but the September edition is a bumper one. Our immunisation program rollouts have gained momentum as COVID-19 restrictions are eased and borders in Pacific countries start to re-open.

Welcome to our first 2022 Newsletter. This year we are featuring Milca Jeremiash, 11, as she received her first dose of the HPV vaccine during the RGECAF vaccines launch event in Nauru in late 2021 on our front page. Thank you to UNICEF for proving many of the newsletter imagery.
